Student Houses in Sketty, Swansea

The sense of community and close proximity to Singleton Park makes the suburb of Sketty a popular choice for Swansea students. A ten-minute drive from Swansea University and a further five minutes for the Bay Campus, living in Sketty is as convenient for morning lectures as it is for nights at the Students' Union.

Due to the location, a large portion of the population in this area is made up of students, so you'll likely live close to friends or classmates. Brimming with local amenities including independent coffee shops and local pubs, Sketty is a smart choice for students looking to live off campus but close to the action. Housing here tends to be more affordable than other areas of Swansea, which is great for exploring what the city has to offer.

Hop on the number 10 bus to hang out with friends in the city centre, or make the most of the scenic surroundings to chill out in your down time. Speaking of down time, if you need a little peace and quiet ahead of an exam, take a stroll down to Swansea Botanical Gardens where acres of greenery and a serene lake will greet you for an afternoon of relaxation. There's even crazy golf here for those eager to put their putting prowess to the test!

Student houses in Sketty range from terraced housing to detached homes of varying sizes. There tends to be a decent stock of houses suitable for larger groups all the way up to 6 bed houses, as well as some 1-bed student apartments.
