This area is flush with Victorian terraces full of character, making for spacious student houses close to Huddersfield’s centre and Greenhead Park, as well as plenty of shops, cafés, and restaurants.

Moldgreen and Newsome are also popular choices for student accommodation in Huddersfield, both of which are suburbs heavily laden with community spirit and pride. Moldgreen and Newsome are home to plenty of shops, takeaways and cafés, but if you fancy somewhere a little more cutting-edge, then Huddersfield centre is only around the corner and offers heaps of entertainment in the form of bars, nightclubs and pubs galore.

Ashenhurst in Huddersfield, with its beautiful parkland, is also an area that’s in demand with students, thanks to Huddersfield student houses here being within walking distance of the university.

Which house sizes are most in demand with students from Huddersfield?

It seems that students here really appreciate keeping it simple and living with those who are nearest and dearest, as the most coveted student properties in Huddersfield are medium-sized four-bed lets. Not too big, not too small, four-bedroom houses are the perfect size for a small group of close friends who want to maximise the uni experience by living together.

One-bed flats and houses are also really popular, with five-bed places not far behind. It’s the nine-bedroom student accommodation in Huddersfield that is the least sought after, though, so you’ve got more time than most to find somewhere to stay if you’re after living it up in a mini-mansion with a large group of mates.
