Student Homes in the Barbican, Plymouth

Plymouth's Barbican is the perfect place for students to settle in for a few semesters to immerse themselves in the rich culture of the city. This delightful port is the heart of the city's heritage - stroll over the cobbled streets and ancient quays where Plymouth's merchants and mariners did business hundreds of years ago.

Student homes in the Barbican are highly sought after for their desirable location, and properties come in a range of sizes to suit groups both small and large. This district is packed with activities for all ages, including the National Marine Aquarium, home to the largest fish tank in Europe, and the famous Plymouth Gin Distillery.

You don't have to be a theatre buff to live in the Barbican, but it helps! This stunning location is home to the Theatre Royal Plymouth, where plays, pantomimes and stand-up comedy shows make for a varied programme throughout the year.

Arguably the hottest spot to be for students in Plymouth, the bars and restaurants in the Barbican are some of the best in the city. We recommend the Barbican Theatre B-Bar for live music, comedy and delicious Thai noodles! On the other hand, the Harbourside Restaurant was voted as Britain's No.3 best fish and chips shop in the country.

At just a short walk from the University of Plymouth and a 15-minute drive to Marjon University, we recommend the Barbican for students seeking somewhere special to call home.
